Process
The birch wood panel is prepared with gesso. A sketch is drawn and the flesh tones of faces and hands are painted in oil. Then copper leaf is applied. After the leafing is complete, acrylic and mediums are added to the surface to create raised texture. Then many layers of luminous oil paint decorate the painting. Varnish is applied as a final protect coating. Please note: Stephen White’s and all original works of art should not be hung in direct sunlight
